Refund & Returns Policy

This Refund & Returns Policy applies to prize competitions operated on www.hikgurucomps.com (“Website”).

Because we operate UK prize competitions, different rules apply compared to standard retail purchases.


1. Entry Fees (Paid Entry Options)

1.1 General policy

Paid entry fees are generally non refundable once an entry has been successfully confirmed and allocated a unique entry number.

This is because:

  • Entries are processed instantly

  • Entry numbers are allocated immediately

  • Competitions may close or be drawn at any time

By completing a paid entry, you acknowledge and accept this policy.

1.2 Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights under UK law.


2. Free Entry

A free entry route is available for all competitions. Full details are provided on our privacy policy.


3. Competition Cancellation or Material Error

3.1 Cancellation by us

If a competition is cancelled by us (for example due to a technical issue or administrative error):

  • All affected paid entries will be refunded in full, or

  • Where appropriate, entrants may be offered entry into an alternative competition of equal value

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of cancellation.

3.2 Errors

If a material error occurs that could affect the fairness of a competition, we reserve the right to pause, correct, and/or rerun the affected process to ensure fairness.


4. Prizes & Delivery

4.1 Delivery method

Prizes are dispatched using a tracked postal or courier service once the winner has been verified and delivery details confirmed.

We aim to dispatch prizes within 28 days, although delivery times may vary depending on the prize, availability, or courier.

4.2 Delivery areas

  • UK mainland delivery is included unless stated otherwise

  • Delivery outside the UK is possible but will involve additional arrangements, customs duties, or taxes, which are the responsibility of the winner unless otherwise stated

4.3 Delivery details

Winners are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect details provided by the winner.


5. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Prizes

5.1 On receipt

If a prize arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receipt with clear photographic evidence.

5.2 Resolution

Where a fault is confirmed, we will arrange one of the following, at our discretion:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • An equivalent alternative prize

  • Refund of the prize value (where replacement is not possible)

5.3 Manufacturer warranty

Many prizes are supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty. Where applicable, this warranty remains valid and unaffected.


6. Lost or Missing Prizes

If a prize is lost in transit:

  • We will work with the courier to investigate

  • A replacement or suitable alternative will be arranged where appropriate


7. Fraud, Abuse & Chargebacks

We reserve the right to refuse refunds or prize delivery where we reasonably believe:

  • An entry was fraudulent

  • Multiple accounts were used to gain an unfair advantage

  • A chargeback has been raised in bad faith

Abuse of chargeback systems may result in account suspension and entry disqualification.
